Charities boosted by Diss building society

Three local charities benefited from a Diss building society fund after being selected in a two-week public vote.

The ballot was held for Norwich and Peterborough (N&P) Building Society’s Charity Choices campaign.

The EACH Quidenham hospice won the most votes and received £500, while Friends of Diss Health Centre earned £300 and Diss Corn Hall Trust gained £200.

Diss N&P branch manager Abby Ridley said: “I can’t thank everyone enough for coming to make their vote count — I’m sure the money will make a real difference.”
