Cats Protection launch appeal to rehome 40 feral cats after Framlingham land is sold
More than 40 feral cats are in need of urgent relocation following a charity’s recent sale of some land.
Cats Protection has launched an appeal to find landowners who can rehome the cats after the land they were living on, near Framlingham, was sold.
The charity is hoping that those with a stable yard, small holding or other rural property will take on some of the cats as feral felines do best in pairs and small groups.
A spokesperson said: “These are cats who have little or no positive interaction with humans.
“But they still need a home – in a barn, a stable, or even just an outdoor shelter.
“In return they will work hard for you in rodent control.”
The colony of feral cats being relocated have been neutered and the charity can loan equipment for a month or so while the cats get used to their new surroundings.
