Case opens for Diss man charged with hospitalizing homeless man following wrench attack

The case of a 32-year-old man charged with attacking a homeless man with a socket wrench in Diss last year has begun today at Norfolk Crown Court.
Mark Stagg was charged in relation to an incident last year, where a homeless man, also 32, was hospitalized after reportedly being attacked with a metal tool, in Park Road, Diss.
Stagg, who is from Diss, had been charged with wounding/inflicting grievous bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon, namely a socket wrench, following the incident on August 17 2019.
The case has been listed for August 24 this year.
