Attleborough furniture manufacturer builds on green business ethos
A furniture manufacturer has been busy building upon its green credentials with a growing focus on eco-friendly initiatives.
Attleborough-based Lee & Plumpton was recently audited, with special praise given for its ongoing investments in energy and waste efficiencies.
This includes a comprehensive system to monitor and minimise energy consumption, as well as efforts to reuse and recycle materials across its site at Bunns Bank.
The company has held ‘Zero to Landfill’ status for many years, with initiatives including maximising material efficiency with off-cuts being retained for alternative uses, such as different products or packaging.
Lee & Plumpton also generates around 160,000kwh of electricity each year via a network of solar panels.
