Bryn Cole, from Bressingham, shaves goodbye to his long locks for The Little Princess Trust

A nine-year-old boy has had his first short haircut so that he can donate his old locks to charity.

Bryn Cole, from Bressingham, braved the shaver after finding out about The Little Princess Trust, which make wigs, free of charge, to give to children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment.

With the help of Ry The Barber, in Mere Street, Diss, the youngster was able to donate 13 inches of his hair to the charity, with each wig costing approximately £700 to make.

His mother, Laura, said: “His dad, Alex, and I are very proud of Bryn for his donation and for thinking of others.

“He is a very kind and caring boy. He cut his hair as short as possible to donate the maximum amount – and he loves his new haircut.”

This is not the first time that Bryn has donated to charity.

In 2022, he grew and sold chillis, making £60, which he used to buy food for a local foodbank.
