Breckland Chief Inspector departs district

Breckland District Chief Inspector Ady Porter has left to take on a new role at Norfolk Constabulary Headquarters.

Chief Inspector Porter will now be working under the Deputy Chief Constable in the Joint Performance and Analysis Department, at the Operations and Communications Centre in Wymondham.

The post of commander for Breckland has been filled by Temporary Chief Inspector Paul Wheatley.

T/Chief Inspector Wheatley, who joined Norfolk Constabulary in 2000 and whose first post was in Thetford, said: “I am relishing this new challenge”

Chief Inspector Porter added: “I have thoroughly enjoyed my time in Breckland and I am incredibly proud of the hard working officers there who are committed to delivering a first class service to the public. I have every confidence that Temporary Chief Inspector Wheatley will fit in very well and I wish him all the best in his new role”
