Birmingham woman arrested in connection with Cratfield church lead theft

A 20-year-old woman from Birmingham has been arrested in connection with the theft of lead from a church in Cratfield.

The woman was arrested on Wednesday in connection with the theft of lead from St Mary’s Church, overnight on Friday, December 4, 2015.

Police are making ongoing enquiries into 15 lead thefts from churches in Suffolk last year and the woman was also spoken to about further offences. After being interviewed she has now been bailed to return to police in Suffolk on Monday, May 16.

She has been given bail conditions not to enter Suffolk.
