Members of the Attleborough Boxing Club swapped their boxing mitts for gardening gloves earlier this month to help plant 5,000 flower bulbs at a landmark site in the town.

The club members, along with family members and staff, embedded the bulbs, provided by Attleborough Town Council, around Queen’s Square on Saturday, December 13.

Club chairman Jeremy Burton said: “The boxers were more than happy to help the home town that supports them so well and are looking forward to seeing the fruits of their labour.”

It is hoped the flowers will blossom in spring, just in time for the next Home Show taking place on March 21, 2015.
