LEARN MOREOriginally a one-person operation, The Association Management Company is now celebrating 15 years in business.
From its inception in April, 2007, The AMC was initially founded to be a marketing consultancy, specialising in the blinds, shutters and awnings industry.
Now the firm, with its headquarters in Gislingham Road, Thornham Magna, boasts more than a dozen employees across the country – some stationed as far away as Oxford, Macclesfield and Derby – and manages everything from training and administration to finances and legal representation for its broad client base.
“We have morphed into association management, rather than having a grand plan from the start,” said Andrew’s son, Joe, a director of the firm. “An opportunity presented itself to work for a national trade association and we took it.
“We have been running successfully for the last 15 years and we’ve been growing every year,” added the 26-year-old.
Built on an ethos of ‘sustainable success, service excellence, flexibility, reliability and integrity’, the firm has taken on some gargantuan tasks in its decade and a half in existence.
“It’s taken us to some weird and wonderful places over the years,” added Joe.
This has ranged from organising award ceremonies and industry-leading exhibitions at hotels and arenas across the country, to representing one of its clients in a High Court battle against the the Government over regulations.
Looking to the future, Joe added: “We have ambitions to continue our growth and carry on supporting the community.”
