Ukrainian artist, Andriy Nekrasov, gifts painting to The Corn Hall in Diss after exhibition

A celebrated artist has donated one of his paintings to an arts venue as a show of thanks.

Andriy Nekrasov, who grew up in Kyiv and now lives in Stradbroke, gifted the artwork to the Corn Hall in Diss.

The artist – a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine – had his work on show at the St Nicholas Street site during December and January.

The painting, which shows The Corn Hall and the streetscape, was gratefully received by general manager Lee Johnson.

“We are truly honoured to be given this beautiful painting by Andriy,” he said.

“Hosting his exhibition has been a wonderful experience and it has been heartwarming to hear so many positive comments from our visitors.
