Botesdale’s community art cafe Santiago’s celebrates reaching one year mark
An art cafe is celebrating a first year filled with success after reaching its one-year milestone.
Santiago’s Art Cafe in Botesdale marked the event on Wednesday with cake after inviting customers to pop along to join the party.
“People getting behind us has been so important for our success, so we wanted to celebrate with them,” said manager Helen Ball.
“We had lots of customers wishing us well and picking up a slice of cake today, which was great.
“We really are about supporting the community, whether that’s using locally produced food or displaying the work of local artists.
“We’re very proud of what we’ve built so far, and we are looking into selling wine and beer if we can get a license to sell alcohol for the new year, and we’re also looking to expand the range of food we sell.
“Most of all, we are looking forward to many more successful years ahead.”
