Waveney Valley Archers in conjunction with Arrows Archery of Diss hit the fundraising target with a competition in aid of Medecins Sans Frontieres (Doctors without Borders) and World Land Trust.
Brett and Shelly Tinkley, founders of Waveney Valley Archers, decided to donate a week’s club fees to the charities. The husband and wife held a competition for junior and senior archers. Mr Tinkley, from Roydon, has been a keen archer for two years and started the club last year.
The money went to Kate Bunn to contribute to the £850 raised for the charities. She fundraised by doing the Ten Peaks Challenge this year.
The club meet every Sunday 11am-1pm at Arrows Archery on the Osiers Golf driving range near Scole.
