An Archbishop Sancroft High School pupil will carry out one of the more selfless acts for charity on Tuesday — by having her head shaved for good causes.

Holly Welfare, a Year 8 pupil from Scole, is donating her locks to the Little Princess Trust, which provides wigs for children who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment, with funds going to Macmillan Cancer Support.

Proud mum, Louise Worthington, who will be responsible for cutting her hair on the last day of term on Tuesday, said: “She knows that cancer affects everyone and she wanted to make a difference. I’m really proud of her.”
