Appeal launched after two-car collision on A1066 between Diss and Thetford closes road for hours
An appeal for witnesses to a crash which saw the A1066 closed for four hours last week has been launched.
Police are appealing for witnesses following the serious collision in Riddlesworth on Friday, which saw a woman suffer serious injuries and be airlifted to hospital as well as another woman and two children taken to West Suffolk Hospital by ambulance.
The collision happened at 4.03pm, when a white Honda Acura collided with a white Skoda Superb.
The road was closed whilst emergency services attended the scene including fire, ambulance, air ambulance and a critical care paramedic from the emergency medical charity SARS
The driver of the Honda, a woman aged in her 20s, was taken by air to Addenbrooke Hospital. The road was reopened at around 8.20pm.
Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or the manner of driving of either vehicle prior to the incident.
