Police appeal after motorcyclist dies following A1066 Brettenham crash
A appeal for witnesses has been launched after a motorcyclist has died following an incident on the A1066.
It happened on the A1066 at Brettenham at 8.28pm on Thursday, October 3, when a green Kawasaki motorcycle left the road and collided with a tree.
The road was closed while emergency services attended the scene including fire, ambulance and air ambulance.
The rider of the motorbike, a man in his 50s, sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to by air ambulance to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge. He has since died.
The road reopened at around 2.40am the following day.
Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or the manner of driving of the motorcycle prior to the incident.
