Alison Thomas holds her Long Stratton seat at Norfolk County Council elections




Conservative councillor Alison Thomas has held her seat of Long Stratton, taking more than half of the votes at the county council elections this afternoon.

Councillor Thomas received 1,763 votes, rounding off a successful afternoon for her party in Norfolk.

Labour's David Vail took home 515 votes, whilst Liberal Democrat Jon Norton received 260. Shaun Button, from the Green Party, took home 275 votes.

Councillor Thomas' win marks a hat-trick for the Conservatives in the Diss Express area, after Councillors Keith Kiddie and Rhodri Oliver held their seats of Diss and Roydon; and Attleborough, respectively, earlier in the afternoon.
