Air ambulance report a number of bank holiday accidents involving motorcyclists




East Anglian Air Ambulance has reported a number of accidents involving motorcyclists over the bank holiday weekend.

A motorcyclist was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after a crash involving a van on Victoria Road, A1066, in Diss this morning, August 26.

The air ambulance landed in the train station car park following the accident at 8am.

On Sunday, the air ambulance also attended the scene of an accident between a motorcyclist and a heavy transport vehicle in Garboldisham.

The motorcyclist, who was in his 50s, and who suffered with series injuries, was taken to Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital for treatment

The air ambulance also attended accidents involving motorcyclists in Wymondham and Knapton.

"We have been called to a series of accidents involving motorcyclists this weekend. It has a been a bad weekend for that," said a spokesman.

"When the weather is fair, it is often the case the motorcyclist come off worse, as they take to the roads."
