Comedian, writer and actor Griff Rhys Jones is set to bring his latest show to Diss ahead of his nationwide tour.

The star, who came to national attention in the 1980s for his work in the BBC television comedy sketch shows Not the Nine O’Clock News and Alas Smith and Jones, will perform ‘All Over The Place’ at the Corn Hall.

The Suffolk resident has previously headlined one man sell-out tours ‘Jones and Smith’ and ‘Where Was I?’ and successfully toured in Australia and New Zealand.

Solo performing is relatively new to one half of Smith and Jones, one quarter of Not the Nine O’Clock News and one third of Three Men In a Boat, but his show on July 20 will see him presenting an evening of hilarious true stories, riffs, observations and details of his recent medical procedures.

Angela Sykes, programme manager at the Corn Hall, said: “When we manage to get Griff Rhys Jones to the Corn Hall, it’s always a highlight in our programme.

“We’re delighted that he’s chosen the Corn Hall to preview his new show – it’s bound to be a sell-out.”

‘Griff Rhys Jones: All Over The Place’ is at the Diss Corn Hall on July 20 at 8pm.
