Paul Sinha, a familiar face as one of quiz-masters on ITV’s The Chase, will be appearing at the Corn Hall on November 16.

A stand-up comedian by trade, he has played every major comedy club in the UK, performed in 18 other countries and is a three-time nominee for Best Club Comedian at the Chortle Awards, winning in 2014.

“As someone who briefly lived in Norfolk as a small child, and spent the Britpop years working there, I am massively looking forward to performing a full length show in Norfolk for the first time,” he said.

Paul began performing stand-up comedy while working as a junior gynaecologist in hospitals in London and King’s Lynn.

Radio 4 listeners may also recognise his voice from Just a Minute, the Now Show and the News Quiz.

He is ranked 6th in the UK at quizzing and, in November 2017, recorded his second top 10 finish at the European Quizzing Championships.

“There’s no doubt that the newly-revamped Corn Hall is attracting bigger acts and when, they do come, they are bowled over by the place,” said programme director Angela Sykes.

“We received a lovely thank you card from Toyah Willcox today and she said that the sound was the best she has had.

“It’s a small world and performers do talk to one another, so, when they have a great experience, that really helps.

“Acts always comment too about how lovely the Diss audiences are.”
