Abellio Greater Anglia has announced a £15,000 funding pot for a volunteer scheme which helps to care for the railway stations across its network.

More than 90 stations, including Diss, are eligible for a portion of the funding as part of the ‘Adopt a Station’ initiative, which began in 2003 and now has over 180 adopters working to improve train station environments with individual projects.

Andrew Goodrum, the Customer Service Director at Abellio Greater Anglia, said: “Our Station Adoption scheme continues to go from strength to strength. I am grateful to all our adopters for their support in helping to put stations at the centre of their local communities.”
