Diss Carnival Committee’s cake sale raises £380 for the highly-popular event
The only problem was choice, when a cake sale looked to tempt passers-by in Diss on March 30.
From elaborate chocolate cakes to the classic Victorian sponge, there was a wide selection of sweet treats on offer in the Market Place.
Organised by Diss Carnival Committee, the sale raised £383, which will go towards funding the annual showpiece when it returns on June 16.
Committee member Tammy Howard said they were thrilled with the amount raised and the support on the day.
She said: “We would like to thank the generosity of those who attended the sale and those who contributed by baking delicious treats.
“The turnout exceeded our expectations.”
The committee’s next fundraiser will be a car boot sale on April 28, with all pitches priced at £5.
