20-home plan submitted for Winfarthing
New proposals could see 20 homes built in a growing Norfolk village.
The planning application – lodged with South Norfolk Council – is seeking permission for the development off Mill Road in Winfarthing.
The village is home to around 500 people at present but could see major growth in the coming years as farmland is being earmarked for several new projects.
These schemes could result in a population increase of some 17 per cent, if they are approved.
Under the latest plans, 20 new homes would be built – along with two new access points to the main road and a public open space – on farmland off Mill Road, which is in the south of the village.
The application comes several months after similar proposals were lodged for 21 new houses off Hall Road, on the other side of Winfarthing.
If both developments had just two people living in each new property, the population could increase by around 17 per cent in the next few years.
Both of these applications remain under consideration by South Norfolk Council, with a decision expected in the coming weeks.
