Summer Term

Summer term is always a busy term which flies by in the blink of an eye.  With lots of look forward to this term, no doubt the weeks will disappear...

Orange Class (Year 5) will begin the term learning about road safety, taking part in Bikeability across two weeks.  They spend some time on the school playground and then on the road.

We will be celebrating the uniqueness of each and every one of us during our two 'Fearfully and Wonderfully Made' days this term.  To coincide with Deaf Awareness Week, we will focus on the challenges those with hearing impairments face and also explore physical disability with a focus on adaptive sporting opportunities.

The whole school will come together to celebrate VE Day.  The morning of the 9th May will be spent learning all about the importance of VE Day and making some special VE Day decorations.  We will hold a street party style lunch followed by some games and songs.

Our Year 6 children will be sitting their SATs.  Good luck to them all - we know you'll make yourselves proud!

Sports Day will be held on Wednesday 18th June.  We'll be competing in teams this year to add a bit more of a competitive side to the day.  Parents & Grandparents are welcome to join us for an afternoon of races.

Our Collective Worship theme will change to Forgiveness linking to our Rainbow Pledge of being kind, caring and friendly.  We will learn about showing respect and compassion to ensure our community and world is a better place as we strive to be more like Jesus.

Our Wraparound Care has now been launched.  We offer a before-school club each morning 7:50am - 8:45am and both enrichment and after-school care running from the end of school until 5:30pm.  All of these sessions can be booked for through Arbor.

School opens at 8:45am and the doors close at 9am.  Pupils should be in their classroom no later than 9am to avoid missing any learning time.
