The Undertones, famed for their hit Teenage Kicks, are the headliners at a three-day Diss summer music festival.
Music legend John Peel once called it the best song ever written – and organisers say their appearance will make the line-up at this year’s WoW festival “the best ever”.
Geoff Dixon said: “Having The Undertones is a real coup for us and we are so looking forward to hearing brilliant songs like Teenage Kicks and My Perfect Cousin coming from the WoW stage. Then we have so many amazing bands like K.O.G and the Zongo Brigade and CC Smugglers.”
Chasing Creation from Diss are among the 25 bands who will play when the festival, at the Woolsey Bridge Fields on Burston Road, starts on July 1. Money raised will go to Gissing Children’s Centre and Burston Primary School.
