A classic wintery tale of magic, puppetry, mischief and Christmas carols will be brought to life at Eye Town Hall on Thursday evening.
Theatre company Moon On A Stick is performing an adaptation of The Little Match Girl by Hans Christian Andersen, using a unique combination of visual storytelling, live music and object work.
Directed by acclaimed artistic director Alice Sillett and adapted for the stage by Gabrielle Malcolm, it tells the story of a little girl wondering the cold streets alone, who lights the matches to keep warm, only to be transported into the festive scenes behind the glass of the houses she walks by.
Reviews have described the production as “an engaging piece, visually and aurally creative.”
The Little Match Girl will be performed at the hall on Thursday, starting at 6.30pm.
Tickets are £3 each, or £10 for a family of four. For booking details, please call 07713 196251.
