The Harleston Players dramatics society’s next production, to be performed later this month, will be an adaptation of Bram Stoker’s world-famous novel Dracula.
Adapted for the stage by the acclaimed poet and playwright Liz Lochhead, the production brings an exciting new creative vision to the Harleston Players, in the shape of director Bazil Leith.
Best known for his professional work as director and animator for Paddington Bear and The Wombles, Bazil is now putting his talent to work directing a strong cast of local actors in this timeless tale of madness, love and evil.
With the stage set for a night of classic horror, the production will be performed over the course of five nights this month at Archbishop Sancroft High School in Harleston.
The dates are Friday, October 23, Saturday, October 24, Thursday, October 29, Friday, October 30, and finally on Hallowe’en night – Saturday, October 31.
Each night commences at 7.30pm, with tickets priced at £8, or £6 for concessions; available at Harleston Pet Stores or from 01379 852845.
