Relationships, politics and climate change are threaded through a pair of plays the Dove Players are to present at Eye.

The Players are putting on rehearsed readings of both works in The Contingency Plan by playwright and University of East Anglia lecturer Steve Waters - in April and May.

Director Simon Hooton, who described them as “cracking stories”, said: “The first play, On The Beach. is set on the Norfolk coast and explores family relationships as well as the prediction of a major flood. The second play, Resilience, switches to Whitehall and carries on the story with some overlapping characters.”

On The Beach will be performed on April 29 in Eye Town Hall and Resilience on May 13 at The Bank. Tickets (£7 for one play and £11 for both), can be booked by ringing Mary Mills on (01379) 870455.
