An eclectic line-up of musicians and bands will arrive in Carleton Rode tonight and throughout the weekend for the village’s inaugural music festival.

The schedule features artists who collectively cover a broad spectrum of different genres, including pop, rock, blues and folk.

Kicking the festival off this evening is Frank Sonata and the Acciaccaturas and the Wymondham College Youth Jazz Band.

The headline event for tomorrow evening is world-renowned viola player Susie Meszaros.

Rounding out the festival will be an Open Mic event with local talent on Sunday.

Other acts include folk group Invisible Fish, the Norwich Harmony Singers, soft rock band Tuesday Club, the Accapellads, Suffolk singer Keith Sadler and violinist Kaspar Chakrabati.

The festival is sponsored by the Christian Conference Trust and all funds raised will go towards the re-configuration of the local church.
