Hoxne is ready to go with one of the village calendar’s main events this weekend — what organisers believe will be the best Hoxne Music Festival yet.
Now in its fifth year, the three-day event kicks off tonight with a concert by the Waveney Folk Collective at St Edmund’s Hall, starting 7.30pm. Tickets are £7 in advance or £8 on the door.
The busiest day falls tomorrow, with a free afternoon of music at the village green, from 1pm. Acts include folk fusion band Aartwork, the Village Voices Choir, local youth band Teenage Brass, and the Dutch Street Organ.
Tomorrow night at 7.30pm, the internationally-renowned swing group Jive Aces will hit the stage at St Edmund’s Hall – tickets are £13 in advance or £15 on the door.
Finally, on Sunday at 7pm, the Doric String Quartet arrives at St Peter and St Paul’s Church – tickets are £15 in advance or £17 on the door.
