Walkway’s second studio album Streetwise, released in September 2014, has been so well received copies have been sent to America to a distribution company.

The influence of classic rock on the Redgrave-based four-piece is evident throughout the 12-track offering.

Songs such as Streetwise best demonstrate this, while tracks including I’m a Winner and One Thing confirm the talents of Chris and James Ready, Alex Rosedale and Joe Evans.

And there’s a nice smattering of keyboards for good measure.

But while Walkway know how to rock, the album demonstrates their range and ability out of their comfort zone. Take Me to the Top and This Love Will Last are closer to ballads, while two tracks are performed acoustically.

Walkway have been asked to support Status Quo again for three dates this year. If future releases reach and exceed the level of this latest offering, it won’t be long before they are headlining huge shows of their own.
