Those attending the MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship at Snetterton Circuit later this month will be treated to sights similar to those witnessed during the track’s days as an RAF Airfield

Round 3 of the championship takes place at the circuit across the weekend of June 13 to June 15.

On the main race day on Sunday, crowds will have the chance to see a 10 minute display by the legendary B-17, Flying Fortress, at around 1pm, weather and aircraft permitting.

The aircraft named Sally B is stationed permanently at the Imperial War Museum in Duxford and is the last B-17 in Europe that is still airworthy.

Britain’s Shane Byrne, the most successful rider in British superbike history, is leading this year’s championship following the opening two rounds.

Discounted tickets are available from £26 from www.snetterton.co.uk and under 13s go free.
