The group, two of whom have children at Chapel Road School, Attleborough, will set off on August 1 for the 899-mile, ten-day trip.

They have already upped their fundraising target of £5,000 to £7,000 with £5,500 being pledged already.

The school estimates about £20,000 will be needed for the trip to Disneyland and many other fundraising events have been held and more are planned.

Cyclist Nick Cardy, whose daughter Madison, 13, is a pupil at the school, said: "I was talking to my wife and said I would like to do something and it snowballed from there."

The team also includes Dave Sismey, whose son Lewis, 12, also goes to the school.
