Communities paid their respect to the fallen heroes of two world wars and other conflicts on Sunday.
Towns and villages across the area came to a halt as thousands of people took part in the two-minute silence and services to remember those who had made the ultimate sacrifice to preserve the nation's peace.
Young and old remembered the fallen of past and present service to the country.
