The clocks were turned back several centuries in College Park, Old Buckenham for a fund-raising medieval family fun day.
Knights clashed in sword play in the heat of the sun, lords and ladies and serfs in period dress set up their medieval encampment and 14th and 15th Century crafts and activities were on display.

Sunday's event saw members of The Mediaeval Trust give demonstrations and talks on how life was for people in medieval times.

Organised by Terry Cracknell, the living history day attracted about 300 visitors.

Also taking part were the 1st Old Buckenham Scouts, who provided a barbeque; the Old Buckenham WI, who laid on cream teas; and the South Norfolk Youth Symphonic Band, who provided live music.

A spokesman said: "It was a lovely day with glorious weather and was just like turning the clocks back."

It is hoped to have raised about £800 for local charities and organisations.
