The start of Diss Carnival went swimmingly on Sunday with a display by the East Anglian Working Newfoundlands in the Mere.
The impressive dogs showed off a number of rescue skills, including jumping off boats to save people and pulling them to safety using ropes and life rings.

Crowds thronged around the Mere for the display, which preceded the Carnival procession.
