A week of celebrating local food came to an end on Saturday, with an array of exciting events.
Food stalls, a concert in the park and a cookery competition marked the end of the first Taste of Diss festival, which was hailed a great success.

Events aimed at highlighting local food producers, suppliers and outlets took place in Diss and surrounding villages throughout the week – including the popular Waveney Sausage competition at the Burston Crown and a family picnic on Fair Green.

Geoffrey Dixon, who helped organise the festival, said: "The aim of Taste of Diss was to promote local food and local sources and that is what it has done – very successfully."

SN Sounds Live held their Live and Gigging concert in Diss Park on Saturday, accompanied by a selection of local food stalls and the winners of the cookery competition, held at the Corn Hall, were Richard Hayward of Fredrick's Fine Foods in Diss (professional), his sister Anna (under-16s) and Victoria Wright from Diss (amateurs). She will have her meal on the menu at The Lanesborough in London.
