Diss Rugby Club stormed back to the top of London League Division Two North East after beating Campion 41-15, while Bury St Edmunds and Stowmarket tasted defeat, Sudbury won on the road and Ely won the derby against Newmarket.

Tries from Sean McClure, George Gooderham, Matt Cullum, Paul Cayley, Philip LeLeivre and Chris Trede secured Diss a comfortable victory in the end, but they were made to work hard for it after Campion took an early lead.

Diss are now one point clear at the top of the table after previous leaders Saffron Walden were only able to beat Ipswich 7-0.
