Old Buckenham saw off Diss by two wickets in Saturday’s derby to climb above their local rivals and into third spot in the Norfolk Cricket Alliance Premier Division table.
Buckenham’s Tom Alexander (4-42) took four wickets to help bowl the hosts all out for 164, with Rob Tooke (59) the highest contributor with the bat for Diss.
And despite a five-wicket haul from Diss’ overseas player Pierce Fletcher (5-33), Bucks reached the target with two wickets in hand.
Elsewhere, Mendham’s Peter Wright reached his second televised final in three weeks at the Japan Darts Masters yesterday.
The world number five lost 8-7 to Phil Taylor in the final in Yokohoma, despite producing a brave fightback from 7-2 down to force a deciding leg.
Wright had defeated two former world champions earlier in the day, knocking out Adrian Lewis 8-4 in the quarter-finals before hitting a brilliant 141 checkout to beat Michael van Gerwen 8-7 in the semi-finals.
