Spring Gymnastics continue to go from strength to strength after expanding by opening a second club in Harleston.

The club, which won Active Norfolk’s Community Club of the Year award last year, can now boast having more than 200 young members participating in recreational sessions and regional competitions in which they won 56 medals over the summer.

Their continued success has led to them being nominated once again for the community club of the year award by Active Norfolk with praise coming from the organisation.

“Spring Gymnastics is a great example of how local sports clubs can branch out, reach more young people and introduce them to what is regarded as one of the most enjoyable sports,” said children and young people sports project officer at Active Norfolk George Webster.

“Gymnastics offers youngsters the chance to be daring, perform, dance and develop fitness levels at their own pace.

“I am delighted that young people based in South Norfolk can now access this sport at two local secondary schools - Diss High School and now Archbishop Sancroft in Harleston.”
