Levi Farrow proved the one to beat as he netted victory in the second round of Harleston Junior Anglian Club’s summer series at The Middle Pit.
After a close fought battle between Jack and Levi Farrow, Katie and Maisy Riches and Harry Elton, the final whistle brought a lot of apprehension as it was left to the scales to decide the outcome.
Katy Riches was first to weigh with her one carp and three bream, the biggest weighing 3lb 1oz, helping her seal a total of 19lb dead.
Maisy Riches and Harry Elton struggled landing 7lb 9oz and level 7lb respectively, before the scales arrived at Jack Farrow’s peg, with his two big carp and handful of bits falling just short with 18lb 6oz but as a consolation his 10lb 11oz carp tops the specimen carp trophy list.
Finally it was Levi Farrow’s turn with his three big carp dragging the scales round to a match winning 22lb 12oz and his first win at the club.
The result means that Maisy and Katie Riches and Jack and Levi Farrow now all share top spot with 37 points each after two rounds, things are looking good for a close season.
