Weekend round-up: Heroic comeback by the Tangerines
Stuart Garner
Diss Town may well look back at Saturday’s win over FC Clacton as the turning point of their season after coming from 2-0 down to see off their relegation rivals.
The Tangerines trailed to two early strikes, but Stuart Garner, debutant Louis Catajar and Pete Lambert struck to fire Richard Daniels’ charges to victory.
CRC’s win over Wivenhoe Town meant Diss rose to third bottom, but not out of the Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division drop zone.
In the First Division, Debenham LC were hammered 6-2 by Brightlingsea Regent, despite goals for Ben Bowler and David Lampshire.
Diss’ rugby side were well beaten by second-placed Eton Manor, losing 51-15.
