AFC Hoxne Reserves erased the memory of last week’s county cup heartbreak by eventually seeing off Claydon Reserves.

Trailing 1-0 at the break despite a dominant first half, captain Ben Green began the turnaround by starting and ending a move that stretched three quarters of the pitch.

Kawa surged past four players and unleashed an unstoppable shot into the far corner of the net to put Hoxne ahead before rifling home from a goalmouth scramble to seal his side’s progression into the last four.
