Needham Market manager Mark Morsley has been rewarded for guiding the club to the Ryman League Division One North title this season by being handed a new five-year deal.

Having only signed a four-year deal in February 2013, Morsley’s new terms will now see him set to stay at Bloomfields until 2020 having agreed fresh terms with Chief Executive Graham Emmerson.

The manager masterminded a memorable campaign, which saw the Marketmen clinch the championship and promotion on the final day of the season with an emphatic 5-0 win at Chatham Town to see them end the season with an impressive 104 points.

“It was a very easy decision to come to,” explained Morsley. “The club have supported me and my staff fully since my return and I really believe we have the potential and infrastructure to move up the non-league ladder.

“This promotion is all a part of the journey that we as a club are on.”
