Angling: Cod win for Haddock
FIVE members of Diss and Eye Sea Angling Club travelled to West Mersea last Thursday to fish for cod.
The best fish of the day went to Colin Haddock, of Thorndon, who caught an 8lb cod. Runners-up were Michael Thorndyke, of Eye, with a 6lb cod and Tibenham's David Newcombe with a 5lb cod.
More than 100 fish were caught, including whiting, dogfish and thornback ray.
