Brandeston Hall pupil Susannah Reid's excellent record continues.
At the National Prep Schools Athletics Finals, Reid picked up the silver medal in the 1,500 metres.

The Suffolk U13 Cross-Country Champion recorded a personal best of 5mins15.2secs.

The Alexander Stadium proved inspirational to Reid, as she stepped onto the same track that has seen Great Britain Olympic luminaries like Kelly Sotherton and Ashia Hansen in the past.

The Master of Brandeston Hall, Martin Myers-Allen said: "This has been a record-breaking athletics season for Susannah.

"Not only did she break the East of England 1,500m record this summer, but she also set school records at 300m, 1,500m and 3000m.

"We are all very proud of her achievements."

n Brandeston Hall Girls U11s retained their county tennis title when they played at Woodbridge School.

The team faced South Lee School, from Bury St Edmunds, in the semi-finals before meeting Amberfield School, from Nacton, in the final.

Brandeston Hall excelled in the doubles and singles matches, getting the decisive wins needed to keep the title.

The Master of Brandeston Hall, Martin Myers-Allen, said: "It is a delight to watch these young ladies play such super tennis.

"It is all the more astonishing when one realises that over the past two years the girls have not lost a single rubber."
