Lashing rain and thunderstorms failed to dampen the spirits of Eye Karate Club during their annual summer camp in Southwold at the weekend.
Nearly 70 club members and their families, together with members of the Long Stratton and Eye Karate Club, pitched tents at the Suffolk seaside and enjoyed a weekend of karate training sessions, an It's A Knockout style competition, beach rounders, football, and barbecues.

"Despite the sometimes miserable weather we had a really good turn-out and an awful lot of fun," said club leader Toby Pulford.

"The camp was such a success this year that we've already booked the campsite again for next year."

Eye Karate Club, which practises Taekwondo, holds classes at Hartismere High School sports hall on Wednesday and Friday evenings.

There are three age groups: three to six-years-olds, six to 16-year olds and adults. For more details contact Toby Pulford, 01379 870 001.
