A trio of Diss RFC youth players have been selected to play for Leicester Tigers U14s this weekend.
Flanker Kain Rix, 13, will be joined in the pack by two props, 14-year-old twins Leo and Toby Bond, for a game against their Northampton Saints counterparts.
The three forwards, who will start the game, were called up for the game after impressing as part of the Tigers' Elite Player Development Squad, which meets at Easton College, one of six groups the Guinness Premiership club has across the country
Kain's father Keith Rix, who coaches Diss' U14s side, said the boys had been "over the moon" when they heard of their selection.
He said: "It's a massive achievement. All three boys have worked so hard for it, and it means a lot to Kain."
Gavin Bond, father of Leo and Toby, will be driving a minibus full of family members up to watch the boys play on Saturday.
He added that the two front-row forwards would be looking out for each other when the game began.
Bond said: "They seem to feed off each other really well. They just seem to know what they're doing - they can be unstoppable when they get going.
"They trained really hard all year and being picked was the icing on the cake."
