Football: Town start with a draw
Friendly, Diss Town 3 Kirkley & Pakefield 3: TANGERINES' manager Robert Taylor was encouraged by his new-look team's performance in their opening pre-season game on Tuesday.
"A lot of positives can be taken from the game," said Taylor.

"In the first 20 to 30 minutes we dominated play and played some good football."
Taylor started with new signings from Dereham Town, Mark Camidge, Cedric Anselin and James Wilson, along with their former team-mate George Wilson, 16, in midfield who Taylor is hoping to sign at training tomorrow.
The second half substitutes included Gorleston-based Polish keeper Bartosz Potrawski, who Taylor is also hoping to sign, as well as players currently training with the club, strikers Liam Hart and Louie Bazzard and ex-Dereham midfielder Mark Culyer, who is the son of Diss assistant manager, Steve Culyer.
Diss opened the scoring after two minutes, when Ben Deacon slotted home after good work by Danny Partridge. They doubled their lead seven minutes later when Partridge charged down a kick which rebounded into the net. But Kirkley were level by half-time with goals by Justin Fox and Lee Gilman.
Skipper Steve Best restored the lead in the second half from 35 yards but Fox secured a draw from the penalty spot.
