Ridgeons League First Division, Diss Town 4 Downham Town 1:The Tangerines had to come from behind to claim their first home win since they beat Ely City on March 1 and only their third triumph at Brewers Green Lane in 2008.
It was also a second successive victory but Diss manager Robert Taylor did not think his team carried on from where they left off in their previous victory at Debenham four days before.
Taylor said: "In the first half I didn't think we played as well as we showed we could last Tuesday.
"But in the last half hour we played some good football and got the result we deserved.
"Camo (Mark Camidge) only had two saves to make all game, so I don't think the scoreline flattered us.
The visitors took an early lead after five minutes when Diss defender Brendan Foley tried to turn away from goal, only to have the ball nicked away by Sam Garner who sent over a pinpoint cross for Matt Chapman to fire home.
The visitors could have scored again when Chapman headed off target from ten yards.
But the game turned on the half-hour mark, when Foley made amends for his earlier mistake, to rifle home an equaliser after 30 minutes. With Town in the ascendency they managed to take the lead with five minutes of the first half remaining.
Andy Moody was shoved to the ground by a clumsy challenge from Marcus Fendley and Adie Hayes netted from the resulting penalty.
The second half began with Downham on the attack and Camidge made a superb double save to deny both Garner and Paul Harrod.
The Brewers Green Lane crowd of 89 had to wait until the 75th minute before feeling entirely comfortable. A defence-splitting pass by substitute Danny Partridge found strike partner Ben Deacon, who beat the offside trap and drove home the Tangerines' third from 20 yards.
Two minutes later the game was effectively put beyond doubt when Deacon scored his second.
Partridge was again the provider, galloping down the right wing before cutting inside and squaring the ball for Deacon to stab home from close range.
