Harling headed off to the coast proudly sitting at the top of Division Three, to play third-placed Happisburgh, both having lost once this season.

Losing the toss yet again, Harling were asked to bat and were soon in trouble as Stuart Hilton was caught by Huckle off Howe for two in the first over.

Kevin Seymour and Rob Free started to repair the damage, putting on 25 before Seymour became the first of five wickets to fall in the space of 10 overs as Howe took the first four wickets for 13 in his seven over opening spell, with Catchpole then joining the party to finish with 2-33, as Harling slumped to 62-6 with Free 40 not out.

The experienced Andrew Macrow and Steve Fowler at least stayed around as Free continued to push the score along, finally falling for an excellent 86 out of 125.

The Harling innings struggled into the 44th over finishing on a far from impressive 134 all out. Howe finishing with final figures of 8-2-19-5.

Harling needed to make early inroads if they were to stand any chance of winning this match, and Andrew Macrow obliged bowling Allen in the second over for four.

A second wicket stand of 61 between Huckle and Blanch in only 12 overs gave Happisburgh momentum and although Huckle was dismissed for a hard hit 48 and opener Blanch run out for 16, the experience of Catchpole 48 not out and Andrews 13 not out saw Happisburgh home in only the 29th over.

Norfolk Girls U-13 38 lost to Suffolk 39-1 at East Harling. They play again this weekend on Sunday against Huntingdonshire (2pm start) at East Harling.

Old Buckenham 197-7

Old Catton 174

Asked to bat, Old Buckenham were soon 14-3 as both openers Joe Perry and Jimmy Harris were caught off Colley and Keiran Brown got a shooter which trapped him lbw on the back foot off Fossey.

Nigel Armitage 19 and Daniel Skipper repaired the damage with a stand of 73 before Armitage was caught behind. This was followed by Skipper being bowled after he completed his half century.

At 96 for 5, Old Catton were scenting a low score, when Munday dismissed both Bartlett and Lennard, this seemed more likely but Ben Askew (50 not out) and Sean Robinson started a counter attack with (76 in 12 overs) and then Mike Banham helped Askew within sight of a final batting point.
